Dr. Harris-Love joined the Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research as one of the speakers for their latest "Let's Talk Community Lecture Series" - Aging with Vitality: Advances in Wellness and Longevity.

Given the recent news about a potential withdrawal of funding from NIH's Women's Health Initiative (WHI) by the Department of Health and Human Services, the work of the Ludeman Center and others concerning historically understudied populations has become even more critical.

The lecture focused on muscle and bone health in older women followed by a panel discussion which involved members of the community. This ongoing work by the Center is another example of how the university can effectively partner with the surrounding community to help improve health for all.
