Congratulations to 3MAP Lab member, Dustin Oranchuk, PhD, for leading the way on recent work highlighted as an "Editor-in-Chief's choice" of papers in the current issue of Journal of Sport and Health Science!

The publication, "Exploring the associations between skeletal muscle echogenicity and physical function in aging adults", is a systematic review with meta-analyses concerning physical function and muscle quality in aging adults.

This University of Colorado study cited fifty-one articles with data from 5095 participants included in the meta-analysis. The work has clinical and research implications for the selection of scanning sites used to assess muscle morphology via diagnostic ultrasound.
